Founded in 1999 by Ronald Duncan as a predominately crowd control and venue security company, Essential Security was purchased by the Traill family in 2007 — after Adrian Traill had worked as an employee for several years.
Adrian and Tracie Traill transformed the business into a versatile and trusted provider by expanding services to include static guarding, CCTV, and alarm installations.
In 2019, the acquisition of ML Security added even more capability, including mobile patrols and alarm response services.
As the company grew, uniform tweaks and a major vehicle rebrand in 2021 helped strengthen visibility and professionalism across Tasmania.
